The museum and associated projects at Bletchley Park are in dire need of funding. Historic buildings are crumbling and need restoration. Despite its historical importance it receives no ongoing public funding and is urgently seeking donations. The iconic Victorian Mansion alone requires somewhere in the region of £1,000,000 for repairs and some of the symbolic Codebreaking Huts are in a desperate state of decay.

We owe it to both ourselves and to the men and women who served there to preserve Bletchley Park for our generation and the next, as computer users, citizens of the free world and simply as human beings.

This site has been set up to inform people of the grim outlook that faces one of England’s finest historical sites. We aim to offer suggestions on how to help preserve the memory and physical presence of Bletchley Park, and create somewhere for people to discuss both Bletchley itself and the wider issues relating to it’s plight. We have no official affiliation with Bletchley Park, we’re just trying to do our bit. In essence, we just want to Save Bletchley Park.

Before you look around at what the site has to offer, please take a minute to sign the No. 10 Downing Street petition (click the button below), the more signatories the better - we really need to get the government to listen to pave the way for possible ongoing funding. You can also head over to the resources area for downloadable leaflets and posters in PDF format, and a letter template to send to the press / government / companies and/or organisations (thanks to Carnadine for the bones of them).

Obviously, the main point of this site is to encourage people to donate to the Bletchley Park Trust. We hope to play an active part in this in the future, but for now there are four ways to help.
  1. If you visit the estate you will pay an entrance fee which doubles as an annual pass so you can revisit as many times as you like.
  2. You can click on the button below to make a credit or debit card donation.
  3. Become a volunteer at the park - go to the official Bletchley Park site - linked below - and click on ‘Contact Us’ / ‘How to Help Us’ for details.
  4. Buy items from the shop area of the official website.
One last thing, it’s very early days in the lifecycle of this site, so if something doesn’t work as expected then please contact us using either the link at the foot of the page or the form on the contact page. Also, some features may be missing - they will arrive eventually, so please be patient. If you’d like to know as things progress then feel free to sign up for our e-mail updates, you’ll find a tickbox on the contact form to do so.

Who’s in the huts?

Ordinary people. The site was designed and built by Definite Design Ltd. We care a lot about preserving Bletchley Park, and realise all too well what a debt we owe to the men and women who worked there. Alongside every other man and woman who fought for, or supported, the Allies the codebreakers at Bletchley will be forever in our memories.

We’d like lots more ordinary people to visit this site, participate and help save Bletchley Park. To that end, tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell acquaintances in the pub - tell everyone. Who knows, maybe some of you ordinary people mix with some not-so ordinary people who would be willing to help the cause. If we all help, we’ll have done something extraordinary together.
